What the job involves

You’ll support our amazing team, make sure customers leave with a smile, and lead programmes that bring the community together. From school holiday fun to community activation events, and even helping sporting codes shine in our stadium, you’ll be right in the middle of the action.

This is your chance to grow your leadership skills and make a real impact in the Sport & Recreation industry – all while working with a passionate, supportive team.

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 6:30am – 3:00pm
  • Sunday: 8:30am – 5:00pm

Location: EA Networks Centre – a $35 million hub featuring an aquatics centre, gym, stadium, and café.

Who are we looking for?

If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference within the community whilst further developing your career, then this could be the position for you. Successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Proven and effective communication skills within a customer focused environment.
  • Prior leadership experience, and the ability to motivate and support others to grow.
  • Ideally have  2 years experience in a position delivering programmes and events or in the sport and recreation space.
  • You will need to have a strong work ethic, the ability to be flexible in your working hours and a desire to connect with the community of Ashburton. 
  • Be well organised and thrive at working within a faced paced ad busy environment.
  • You will also prepared to complete the International Lifeguard Training Programme (ILTP).
