What the job involves

As a senior engineer, the key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Oversee Council’s engineering standards for all new subdivisions and developments.
  • Review designs and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with the Resource Management Act (RMA), District Plan, and best practice.
  • Assess infrastructure capacity and review stormwater designs for commercial developments to meet consent and regional council obligations.
  • Be the subject matter expert for three waters infrastructure and roading aspects of subdivisions.
  • Provide clear, practical guidance and feedback to developers, contractors, consultants, ratepayers, and customers at every stage.

Who are we looking for?

We’re on the hunt for an experienced engineering superstar who has broad technical expertise, along with empathy and accuracy. You will have strong communication and mediation skills, with the ability to tailor advice for a range of stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, customers and other ADC Teams.

 

You will bring relevant civil engineering qualifications with broad technical expertise, as well as a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a commitment to quality outcomes for the community.
