A bit about the role
This role will allow you the flexibility to try innovative marketing tactics, create real connections within the community and have a lasting impact on the tourism landscape in the district. As a master of your own diary, you will have the freedom to work with key players within the district, develop on-trend content for social media and manage the tourism brand’s digital profiles. You will enjoy a varied role, developing tactical marketing plans and campaigns to promote Mid Canterbury as a key destination to visit, targeting domestic and international visitors.

Who are we looking for?
You’ll be an experienced marketing professional with previous experience creating marketing plans and campaigns and working across all media platforms. Passion, experience and a willingness to learn and adapt are the key qualities we’re looking for. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders and local business owners.
Working within an organisation that promotes positivity and growth, your technical knowledge and astuteness will ensure all campaigns and marketing material are engaging with the desired audiences and their respective channels. You’ll have an optimistic outlook and an enthusiasm for not only owning your role but furthering it.
