What the job involves

This fulltime permanent role will allow you to develop and deliver high quality and innovative education programmes and learning experiences that align with the Aotearoa New Zealand curriculum and that engage our schools and communities with the Gallery and Museum’s collections and exhibitions. Working with schools, groups and our growing community, you’ll bring our local history and art exhibitions alive and ignite life-long learning. You will embed the inclusion of te reo and te ao Māori in the delivery of sessions to support learner’s development and expression of their national identity.

Who are we looking for?

With a tertiary qualification in Education, History, Fine Art, Mātauranga Māori, Social Sciences or other relevant field, or at least three years of relevant work experience, you will be passionate about delivering education programmes within the Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums (GLAM) sector. You will have  a sound understanding of the Aotearoa New Zealand curriculum and be able to apply this to Galleries & Museums. You’ll be joining a high performing team so the ability to work well with others is a must.
