A bit about the role
Working within the Assets Team, you will be responsible for effectively managing and coordinating new service applications and approved contractor management for water services.
Key duties include:
- Administer applications for new connections to Council’s water, wastewater, and stormwater networks.
- Review applications for compliance and oversee the construction phase of new services.
- Manage applications from approved contractors for water services endorsement.
- Coordinate and manage asset repairs and the commissioning of new residential pressure sewer installations.
- Monitor external resource consent notifications and review for potential impact on Council’s infrastructural assets.
- Provide administrative and field support for new developments and assist with environmental monitoring and drinking water compliance programs.

Who are we looking for?
You will be a confident communicator with a strong customer focus and the ability to build and foster strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. You will have the skills and knowledge to engage and educate stakeholders in relation to water services and compliance.
You will have at least three years’ relevant experience, preferably in a compliance/engineering environment, and will hold relevant technical field support experience. You will have extensive knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act and the ability to manage non-compliance issues effectively.
