Summer Student - Property

Job No: ADC22
Location: Ashburton

What does the job involve?

We’re pleased to provide the opportunity for a student to join our Property team on full time, fixed term contract for the summer holiday period from December to February. You’ll gain professional experience working with the Property team on diverse project-based work. You will have the best of both worlds, initially it will be field based, collecting information on our gravel pits, forestry blocks and reserves then compiling this information into our records management system in our new office.

You will also be responsible for updating and verifying data in our computer databases (TechOne and Sharepoint) so your attention to detail is critical. The experience gained will be invaluable for your future career development.

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you’ll be studying towards a tertiary qualification and most importantly you’ll need to be reliable and have a positive attitude. Whilst we’ll provide you the tools and instructions to complete the work, you’ll need to have an inquiring mind, initiative and an organised nature to ensure the projects are completed before your contract ends.

What can ADC offer you?

Working in a friendly and positive work environment, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced Council Officers. You will be guaranteed a variety of work, based within a supportive team who are dedicated to the success of our organisation.
