What the job involves

Being the first point of contact for our customers, you will provide exceptional customer service whether you are face to face, on the phone or via email. This is a 12 months fixed term, full time position, working in the morning out of the Open Spaces Depot located at the Domain, and with the Customer Service team at Te Whare Whakatere in the afternoon.

 

Key Responsibilities of this diverse position include:

Customer Service:

  • Provide prompt, friendly and professional first point of contact service at the front counter, and through phone, email and personal contact
  • Receiving and processing requests for services and payments
  • Administrative duties, including Dog Registration and administration, processing of direct debits, compiling of Property files and Rates Rebates administration

Open Spaces Support:

  • Provide administration support for cemetery and amenity horticulture activities
  • Maintenance of the electronic Asset Register, communicating plant renewal information to the Open Spaces Manager.
  • Respond to public enquiries in a sensitive, accurate and timely manner
  • Purchase orders and receipting of invoices

A confident customer focused individual who has a high-level administration background, is competent in the use of MS Office applications and can easily adapt to new systems.
