What the roles involve

Senior Lifeguard

As a Senior Lifeguard, you'll step into a leadership role, supporting and mentoring the lifeguard team while helping oversee daily aquatic operations. You'll play a key role in water safety, staff development, customer service, health and safety, and ensuring the facility operates to a high standard.

 

Whether you're already a qualified lifeguard or have experience leading teams in recreation, fitness, hospitality, or a similar environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Lifeguard

As a Lifeguard, you'll help ensure everyone enjoys a safe and welcoming aquatic environment. You'll supervise pool users, assist customers, maintain facility standards, and play an important role in keeping our community safe.

 

No previous lifeguard experience? No problem. We can provide training and support to help you gain the qualifications you need.

For our Senior Lifeguard opportunities, leadership or supervisory experience is desirable, along with a passion for mentoring and developing others.

 

Lifeguard swim requirements

To qualify as a Lifeguard, you'll need to be at least 16 years old and able to:

  • Swim 200 metres in under six minutes
  • Demonstrate key swimming strokes
  • Tread water for five minutes
  • Retrieve an object from deep water
