What the job involves 
This 12-month fixed-term opportunity will see you researching and developing policies and strategies, supporting community consultation processes, and contributing to key strategic projects such as the Long Term Plan.

As part of the Strategy and Policy team, you will play an important role in providing clear, concise advice and options to our elected members, helping to shape the future direction of Council.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who is curious, collaborative and motivated to make a difference. You will bring:

  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Experience and ability researching complex or technical information and translating it into clear, practical advice, policies, strategies or bylaws.
  • Confidence working with data and forming evidence-based insights
  • The ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to get ‘stuck in’.
