Front of House Assistant

What the job involves

As our part-time Front of House (FoH) Assistant you will be a first point of contact for our visitors, providing exceptional service so that people can access our exhibitions and be engaged with art, heritage and culture in our community. You will also run our retail space ensuring that customer needs are taken care of in a timely manner. You will assist with other FoH duties such as tours for visiting groups and hand-on activities for our younger audiences. This is a part time role, a minimum of 6.5 hours on a Sunday and opportunities to pick up additional work during the week.

Who we are looking for

A confident and outgoing visitor focused individual with a can-do approach. Excellent communication skills and proven experience working with a diverse range of people is a must. You’ll ideally have previous experience working with children or reception experience, but this is not essential as long as you’re a quick learner and have a genuine interest in the gallery/museum sector.
